Behold, a wiki entry.
• OC world information:
Behold, a wiki entry about fictional Pawnee, Indiana.
• Abilities:
The gift of sarcasm and disinterest. Otherwise, n/a. A regular ol' human from Indiana. She can type fast on a keyboard, presumably, but that isn't terribly useful outside of Earth.
• Strengths:
Strong will: She's tough. ...Sort of. She has a very blasé demeanor and doesn't get offended by anything. ...Mostly. If anything, she'll hate that person and keep her mouth shut while she seethes. Everyone is a jerk in her eyes. When she's at work and gets criticized for her lack of work ethic, she crosses her arms and blames it on someone else. No one can make her feel guilty. ...Allegedly. She's absolutely able to hide it, though.
Passive Aggression: She can take criticism like a pro. She fights back with snark and sarcasm. A passive-aggressive beatdown. Want to schedule an appointment with her avoidant boss? You're scheduled for March-tember Eleven-teenth. Want her to type something? Too bad. She hates you already for asking her to do work. You get snark. Your outfit is ugly and the demon lords of darkness will punish you when you least expect it.
Empathy: Are you an animal? She will claw their eyes out if someone hurt you. Are you being mean to her boyfriend, Andy? Welcome to shoe-on-fireville. She doesn't like to admit it, but she does feel things for people. Only some people. But she'd only admit she feels things for Andy and Champion, her three-legged dog. If you do anyone to hurt people she loves—yes, her co-workers included—you are in for a world of pain via pranks or passive-aggression.
• Weaknesses:
Physically weak: She's a twig. She couldn't fight off a mugger. She'd need her Andy to beat them up, which she'd condone. It would just make her hate people even more. Exercise is for old people with no bones left. Since all she needs to do at her job is deflect strangers wanting to talk to her boss, she has no reason to work out. A great metabolism is a bonus.
Sensitivity: She couldn't outwit a teacher. But she has the will of a champ. Still, it probably wouldn't matter. She'd be emotionally plowed if the opportunity came. It's why she puts up such a fight with people. If they really knew her, they might try to be buddies who knew her darkest secrets, and she can't have that. No one must know what she likes except her morbid fascination with blood and suffering, of which she has quite a tolerance because it scares people away.
Again, Empathy: Also, she's VERY sensitive to animal abuse. Don't do it. It makes her feel too vulnerable and incompetent. They're precious creatures who aren't humans, basically, and she hates humans. ...Most humans. Andy is an exception. But animals are pure and non-judgmental. They're cute and lovable. Raise a hand to a dog and you will be tackled.
• Nightmares:
Having her boyfriend hurt in any way: He means the world to her. She's had a crush on him for over a year, and she knows he's not the brightest. She loves him anyway, and he's an easy target for people with actual working brains. Insult him, attack him, call him an idiot? Stress to which she'd never admit. She can't see him hurt, ever. She loves him too much.
Losing her dog. She would be devastated if Champion was injured in any way. He's all she lives for. Screw her family. Her boyfriend and her dog are her life. Animals are precious creatures who need protecting, and she's 100% willing to sacrifice herself to ensure they live happy lives. After all, why hurt something that can't judge you?
Being recognized: Though public humiliation isn't one of her fears, she would hate being called out on how sensitive she can be sometimes. It's rare, but say she admitted she liked something. Having someone dis that thing would probably trigger some feelings. Thus, she never likes to admit she likes anything. She likes what she likes for her own reasons. She doesn't need anyone telling her she's wrong.

Video call
[An irritated 20-something appears on the screen. April looks agitated. She sounds agitated. But you'd get the feeling she's like that all the time.]
Hey, is this thing on? People, where the hell am I? There are all these... [she struggles to describe what she's seeing.] ...orbs and stuff. And there's water everywhere. This is lame. How do I get home?
[She waits eagerly for any response. She'd never admit it, but she misses Indiana. Her boyfriend, mostly. What if she can't get back home to him?]
((Also: texting meme at Baker Street, if that helps anything. Yes, she doesn't use proper grammar via text.))
• Prose sample:
April is done. She is just done. She doesn't know anybody here, everyone expects to do things, and she misses home. She's never left Indiana before. This whole... not Indiana thing is stressful to her. She's used to going to work, doing nothing (on purpose), then going home and watching vampire movies. And now she can do none of these things. It's stressing her out.
She makes her way to the edge of one of the walls and puts her hand up to the glass. It seems so peaceful outside in the water.
...It makes her sick. It's too peaceful. She frowns and storms away, still homesick. She misses Andy. She misses her dog, Champion. She even misses—ugh—her co-workers. She hopes she'll be able to get home soon. Otherwise she might... cry, and she can't let that happen. Not where anyone can see her, anyway.
